We are bringing together senior data scientists from GovTech, lead engineers from PayPal, and research engineers from A*STAR specializing in LLM pretraining, alongside a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, a Google Trailblazer innovation award winner, and the principal architect of GitHub Copilot, with the most common skills being AI, machine learning, and full stack engineering, followed by Python, data science, and JavaScript.

We’re excited to announce the first AI Tinkerers hackathon in Singapore sponsored by Anthropic, AWS, Smithery, and Hawkr! Join us on March 8, 2025, for an intense day to build AI agents to battle each other in the TextArena benchmark!

May the prompts be ever in your favor.

Event Details

  • Date: March 8, 2025
  • Time: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
  • Venue: AWS Singapore Office, 5 mins from Downtown MRT stop
  • Food: Lunch, dinner and snacks catered by Hawkr
  • Theme: Building agents leveraging Model Content Protocols to compete in the TextArena benchmark

The Challenge: TextArena

Teams will build agents to compete in the TextArena benchmark. TextArena is a PVP arena where language-based agents play against each other in competitive games (e.g., Poker, Connect Four, Persuasion).

Agents will need to leverage at least one Model Context Protocol server to augment their agents to qualify for the competition.

Agents will be judged by their ELO rating in the online arena and their implementation creativity by the submission deadline against other agents submitted in the hackathon.

Prizes

We’re thrilled to offer the following prizes, thanks to our generous sponsors:

🏆 Prizes
