JazzScat DJ: Musical Impulses Fulfilled

JazzScat is a conversational music practice companion that lets users “practice like a pro” through AI-generated backing tracks and real-time musical coaching. Users interact entirely by voice: they can request a beat, hum a melody, or ask for feedback, and the agent responds musically and conversationally. JazzScat listens through the ElevenLabs Realtime Conversational Agent, understands intent, generates or analyzes musical content using cloud tools, and renders a live loopboard in the browser where tracks are layered, mixed, and visualized.

The core flow is:

1. User speaks or hums →
2. Agent captures audio and understands musical intent (genre, tempo, key, actions) →
3. Music-generation tools create backing tracks or harmonies →
4. Timing/coaching tools provide real-time performance feedback →
5. Agent updates the browser UI and continues the musical conversation.
